Winter Wonderland Wedding Part 2 – Spectacular Reception Decorating Ideas

Well, have you decided to choose a Winter Wonderland wedding theme for your winter wedding? In part1 I gave you some ideas for the bridal attire, flowers and some decoration ideas. Now, I’d like to focus on even more reception decoration ideas. These ideas will give you inspiration for a fabulous wedding that will leave your guests in awe for a very long time!

Set the mood with lots of candles, using silver candelabras, and candle holders. Also use silver and crystal for your serving platters and such.

Use lots of balloon bouquets of silver, white and blue balloons. You could use white or iridescent ribbon to tie the balloons. You can use weights covered with silver or white cloths to anchor the balloon bouquets.

Use lots of iridescent fabric. You can make swags from the fabric at attach them to the tables.

See if you can find some white artificial Christmas trees at a thrift store and place as many as you can find in your reception hall. Leave them bare or string with white mini lights.

For the wedding reception tables, cover them with white tablecloths then use several small shimmery silver or iridescent accent cloths. Then add white 9″ snowflake plastic plates. You could add several snowmen at the table, or if you could find snowmen candles that would even be better. Another idea would be to decorate the table with small white birdhouses, and add nests with blue eggs, or small birds.

For the table centerpieces you can use potted bare branch trees and spray them with silver glitter and use strands of crystal or iridescent tulle to decorate them with. You can also use strings of mini lights. Check area stores for marked down Christmas tree decorations if your wedding will be after Christmas. You may also be able to get great deals for almost all your reception decorating after Christmas!

You could have a snowflake wedding cake with blue frosting. Or find a winter snow scene to decorate the top of it with. For your cake table, you may want to use white batting to look like snow. You could even place string lights wrapped in iridescent tulle to wrap around the base of the cake for an enchanting look.

Hopefully these ideas should give you inspiration to be just as creative as you want for your romantic elegant Winter Wonderland wedding!
